700,000 individuals in the Tampa Bay area suffer from hunger, 250,000 of which are children; 94% of these children are enrolled for free or reduced lunch
Many at-risk children will not eat between Friday afternoon and Monday morning
Feeding Tampa Bay’s BackPack Program delivers child-friendly food to hungry children on Fridays so they have meals over the weekend while they are not in school
